Hashgard and Slow Mist Technology Enter into Strategic Cooperation
Security is arguably the most important issue facing the blockchain industry. Hashgard’s digital financial public chain and empowerment platform aims to revolutionize the world of digital finance. Now, Hashgard is excited to announce that their product has become even better after adding an additional layer of security to its smart contracts. Hashgard is officially announcing a new strategic security cooperation with Slow Mist Technology. Security experts from Slow Mist will protect Hashgard’s public chain and empowerment platform and safeguard the platform’s new one-click smart contract deployment.
Strategic Cooperation
In recent years, many blockchain projects have been successfully hacked. Over the last year alone, cyber criminals have stolen tens of millions of dollars from blockchain companies, including over 18 million US dollars from Bitcoin Gold. Cases of security vulnerabilities in blockchain code and applications continue to persist, placing the entire industry at risk.
In June 2016, the DAO, the most popular Ethereum project of its time, was attacked. The hackers made off with more than 3.6 million ETH (then worth about 60 million US dollars), which directly led to the hard fork of Ethereum.
In June 2018, security experts exposed a series of high-risk vulnerabilities in the smart contracts of well-known blockchain project EOS, which currently has a market cap of nearly 5 billion US dollars, just a week ahead of its mainnet launch. Experts found that some of the vulnerabilities could be remotely exploited on an EOS node and that such an attack would eventually enable hackers to take direct control over all nodes running on the EOS platform.
By securing smart contracts deployed by Hashgard, we can ensure that entrepreneurs can build a smarter, more intelligent and worry-free smart contract system. That’s why Hashgard is announcing a new security partnership with blockchain security market leader Slow Mist Technology. Slow Mist will provide an additional level of security for the Hashgard Passport smart contract deployment.
Xu Chaoyi, the founder of Hashgard, said: “Slow Mist is one of the strongest network security companies in the blockchain sphere. I believe that the strategic cooperation between Hashgard and Slow Mist will make the Hashgard digital finance and technology empowerment platform more secure and better protected against hacker attacks, so that we can focus on what we do best — empowering the digital finance industry.”
Slow Mist Technology CEO Huang Bi said: “Hashgard is the frontrunner in the field of digital finance. Their digital finance ecosystem is one of the most robust and comprehensive on the market. Slow Mist is excited to enhance security for Hashgard’s digital financial public chain and technology empowerment platform.”
